Do my roommates also need to install the app?
No — you can add them as shadow members with just a name. When (and if) they sign up later, Zplity automatically links their history.
Is my data shared with anyone?
We only process the data you give us: groups, expenses, and basic profile from Sign in with Apple. Receipt photos are sent to OpenAI for parsing and immediately discarded — see the privacy policy for the full list.
Does Zplity work offline?
Yes. The app reads from a local SwiftData store and queues changes when the network is down. They sync the moment you're back online.
Can I get my data back if I leave?
Pro subscribers can export any group as CSV. Anyone can delete their account from Settings; deletion removes your data from our servers within 30 days.
What about multi-currency trips?
Each expense remembers its own currency. Balances and settle-ups respect the group's default currency today; per-currency settle-up is on the roadmap.
Is there an Android or web app?
Not yet — Zplity is iPhone-first. The web is for marketing and account management only.
